Our Junior Club meets on Sunday afternoons from 2:30-4:30pm at Jesmond Library, St George’s Terrace, Jesmond.

A few words about us

Let us introduce ourselves

Newcastle Chess Club is open to players of all levels.

We play our games and matches at Newcastle Labour Club (opposite Haymarket Metro) on Thursday evenings, and organise chess events in Newcastle City Centre.

We have three teams (Newcastle Dragons, Newcastle Jesters and Newcastle Cavaliers) in the Northumbria League in the 2024-25 season.

Everyone is welcome to join, whether you are an experienced competitor or a newcomer to the game.
