Newcastle Junior Club
Our Junior Club meets on Sunday afternoons from 2:30-4:30pm at Jesmond Library, St George’s Terrace, Jesmond.
Casual chess at the Library
Chess for everyone! Saturdays 11am-1pm at Newcastle City Library, 33 New Bridge Street, Newcastle.

Let us introduce ourselves
Newcastle Chess Club is open to players of all levels.
We play our games and matches at Newcastle Labour Club (opposite Haymarket Metro) on Thursday evenings, and organise chess events in Newcastle City Centre.
We have three teams (Newcastle Dragons, Newcastle Jesters and Newcastle Cavaliers) in the Northumbria League in the 2024-25 season.
Everyone is welcome to join, whether you are an experienced competitor or a newcomer to the game.
